Privacy and legal notes
What Refit does with the information you send through this website. It is short because there is not much to say.

Who is responsible
Refit is a one-person web design studio run by Ivan Biliak in Etobicoke, Ontario. I am responsible for the information described on this page. To ask a question about it, use the contact form on this site.
What I collect
Only what you choose to send through the contact form: your name, business, email address, website address, what you would like improved, a budget range and your message.
When you visit the site, the hosting service may record technical details such as your IP address and the pages requested, for security and reliability.
What I do not collect
This site sets no cookies. It has no analytics, no advertising pixels and no tracking scripts. Fonts and images come from this site, not from other companies.
Why I use it
To reply to your message, to prepare a quote or proposal if you ask for one, and to keep a record of our conversation. I do not sell your information and I do not add you to a mailing list.
Who else handles it
The contact form is processed by Netlify, which hosts this site and stores form submissions. Messages are then forwarded to my email inbox. Netlify and email providers are companies based in the United States, so your information may be stored or processed outside Canada, where different privacy laws apply.
How long I keep it
If you do not become a client, I delete your message within 24 months. If you do, I keep the records of our work for as long as the law requires, which is six years for business and tax records.
Your choices
You can ask to see the information I hold about you, ask me to correct it or delete it, and withdraw your consent to my using it at any time. Send the request through the contact form and I will answer within 30 days.
Complaints
If you are not satisfied with my answer, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
Concept projects
The case studies on this site are concept redesigns made without a client. Company names, logos and screenshots that appear in them belong to their owners. They are used only to show the redesign, and they do not mean those companies are involved with, or endorse, Refit.
Changes
If I change how this site handles information, I will update this page first.
